Imogen-Blue Hinojosa (1992,USA) is a contemporary Mexican-American artist known for her performance, video, photography, and textile work who lives and works in the UK. Hinojosa’s practice draws heavily on autoethnography and self-fiction, using her own experiences and narratives as entry points to larger cultural and social questions. By blending personal history with fictionalized elements, she creates a dynamic tension between the authentic and the imagined, urging the viewer to consider the stories we construct about ourselves, performativity, and the fluidity of identity. Imogen-Blue holds a BFA in photography from the Maryland Institute College of Art and an MFA from the University of Goldsmiths London. Her projects have been exhibited extensively in the UK and abroad.
